Familiarization to Snuza Baby Motion Monitor, Hero:
Well, very few buttons and lights make Hero uncomplicated. Two buttons and three lights are there on the device to be precise. Two buttons are – ON/OFF and MODE/OFF buttons. Three lights – battery indicator light in the extreme left, in the right alarm indicator light and movement indicator light in the middle. Hero has a purple color movement sensor and a clip at the back. It is only 7 cm (2.8 inch) long, 4.5 cm (1.8 inch) thick and 2.5 cm (1.6 inch) deep. This small, cute little gadget weighed only 31 gm (0.6 ounce).
How Snuza Hero Works:
Snuza Hero detects every movement. When Hero is in contact with baby, never miss a movement even the tiniest. The movement indicator light flashes green with every movement. If Hero does not pick any movement for 15 seconds, vibrates gently to rouse the baby and alarm indicator light flashes red. If any movement detects in next five seconds Hero will go back to monitoring mode. The movement indicator light starts to flash red with each subsequent movement. This is to alert you that there was at least one 15 second period when Hero did not register any movement. Further if Hero does not register any movement in next five seconds after vibration stimulus (total 20 seconds of no movement) the full audible alarm goes off with alarm indicator light flashes red.
If Hero three vibration stimulus incidents happen (after 15 seconds of no movement Hero vibrates and baby reacts), the movement indicator flashes red with beeping sound in every two seconds. This feature enables parents to understand that their baby is struggling and needs medical attention ASAP.
If Hero detects very small/weak movements (i.e. shallow breathing) the movement indicator flashes orange light.
If movement rate falls below 8 per minute movement indicator light flashes orange with a warning sound (dual-tone beep in every second). Once the movement rate increases more than 8 per minute, the Hero will resume to its normal mode i.e. movement indicator light flashes green.
The alarm will sound every time if Hero detects no movement at all for 20 seconds, no matter whatever the other conditions are.
