Summary:

It is quite expensive but is a medically approved device used in hospitals to prevent SIDS. The extra feature of a smiley icon can mean you can check your baby is still breathing and all is well without leaving your room. The sensor pad is supersensitive and will monitor your baby’s every breath. If the baby stops breathing for 20 seconds, the alarm will sound.

The Nanny European baby movement monitor is used in hospitals to guard against SIDS and for premature babies. It sounds a very loud alarm if there has been no movement for 20 seconds and is sensitive to your baby’s every breath. There is also a visual display of a green smiley face if the baby is breathing ok, so that if you wake up with a jolt panicking as to whether the baby is alright, the green smiley face icon will reassure you that all is well.

The Best Feature

The sensor mat is quite small so some parents saw fit to buy two of them for a larger crib because if the baby slips off the mat you will get a false alarm. Most parents agree however that a false alarm is alright as long as they know the baby is being guarded. The alarm is loud enough to be heard from another room so you will have complete peace of mind and get some hard earned rest.

The sensor pad is super sensitive and will monitor your baby’s every breath. If the baby stops breathing for 20 seconds, the alarm will sound. Likewise, if the baby’s breaths slow to less than 8 per minute, again the alarm will sound. The alarm is nice and loud and you are not likely to miss it.
